TULSA, Okla. - The Tulsa men's cross country team is ranked No. 6 in the latest U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division I National Coaches Poll released Tuesday.

The Golden Hurricane men are ranked among the top 10 in the nation for the second straight poll. TU was ranked No. 5 in the USTFCCCA Preseason Poll on Aug. 27. The Hurricane was tied with Arkansas in the preseason poll, and now sits just one vote behind the Razorbacks in the poll.

The TU men were also ranked No. 2 in the Midwest Regional rankings this week, while the TU women came in at No. 5 in the Midwest Region.

The Golden Hurricane men's and women's teams run their second meet of the season at the Missouri Southern Stampede Saturday in Joplin, Mo. TU previously raced at the Hurricane Cross Country Festival on Aug. 31.
