Men's Cross Country to Run at Notre Dame Invitational Friday

TULSA, Okla. - The Tulsa men's cross country team will run at the 58th Notre Dame Invitational Friday at the Notre Dame golf course in Notre Dame, Ind. The men's 8K race is set to begin at 5 p.m.
The Golden Hurricane, competing in its first major meet of the 2013 season, is one of 28 teams participating in the race.
At No. 7 in the latest USTFCCA Division I Coaches Poll, TU is the highest of the nine ranked squads in the meet. Other ranked opponents include: No. 9 Princeton, No. 16 Colorado State, No. 21 New Mexico, No. 22 Notre Dame, No. 24 Virginia, No. 26 Florida State, No. 29 Michigan and No. 30 Columbia.
The Hurricane, led by individual champion Chris O'Hare, won the Notre Dame Invite in 2012. O'Hare and fellow senior Andrew Heyes will run for TU, along with juniors Emmett Cookson, Tim Rackers, Brian Tabb and Danny Thater, sophomores Jake McDonnell and Marc Scott, and redshirt freshman Adam Palamar.
