TULSA, Okla. - The Tulsa cross country teams are set to run at the 2013 Conference USA Championships Saturday at Eagle Point Cross Country Course in Denton, Texas.

The men's 8K race begins at 9 a.m., while the women's 5K race begins at 10 a.m.

The Cross Country Championship is the first championship of the redesigned Conference USA to be held this year. The Golden Hurricane men, ranked No. 11 in the country, look to defend their three straight C-USA titles. TU will run against 12 other men's teams, while the Hurricane women is one of 15 teams competing for the C-USA Championship.

The men's squad placed fifth at the NCAA Pre-Nationals meets two weeks ago and second at the Notre Dame Invitational on Oct. 4. TU has never finished lower than third at the C-USA Championships since joining the league in 2005.

The TU women, which are ranked 10th in the Midwest Region, won the Missouri Southern Stampede on Sept. 21.
