Tulsa to run at NCAA Midwest Cross Country Regional Championships

Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa's cross country teams will be in action on Saturday, November 10 when they race at the NCAA Midwest Cross Country Regional Championship. The meet will be held in Peoria, Ill., at the Newman Golf Course and co-hosted by Bradley University and the Missouri Valley Conference. The men's 10K race will start at 11:00 am, followed by the women's 6K race at 12:15 pm. The women's race will feature four ranked teams: # 6 Minnesota, # 12 Illinois, # 19 Iowa and # 30 Nebraska, while the men's race will include three ranked teams: # 12 Oklahoma State, # 15 Minnesota and # 18 Tulsa. In last year's regional, both Tulsa teams finished eighth. The men's team had two top-15 finishers, junior Edwin Henshaw finished 12th in 31:12 and senior Brett Turowski placed 15th in 31:20. The women's team was led by junior Alex Becker, who finished 13th in 21:19, which qualified her for an at-large berth to the NCAA Championship.
