TU Pair Named to C-USA Cross Country All-Academic Teams

TULSA, Okla. - Tulsa sophomores Brandi Krieg and Tim Rackers were named to the 2012 Conference USA Cross Country All-Academic Teams, the league office announced Monday. Krieg, a native of De Beque, Colo., has a 3.893 GPA as an athletic training major, and finished 11th at the C-USA Championships with a personal-best 5K time of 17:34.0. She also placed 35th at the NCAA Midwest Regionals last weekend with a time of 21:44.48. In October, she ran a personal-best time in the 6K with a time of 21:49.9. Rackers is a native of St. Louis, Mo., and has a 3.909 GPA in mechanical engineering. He finished 10th at the C-USA Championships with an 8K personal-best time of 24:37.3, and placed 31st at the NCAA Midwest Regionals with a personal-best 10K time of 31:08.96. The Golden Hurricane men's squad will compete at the NCAA Championships on Saturday, Nov. 17. The men's race begins at 12:15 p.m. CT.
