Cross Country Ready for NCAA Midwest Regional

TULSA, Okla. - The Tulsa cross country teams are in Ames, Iowa, for the NCAA Midwest Region Championship, which take place Friday at the Iowa State Cross Country Course.
The men's 10K race begins at noon, while the women's 6K race begins at 1:15 p.m.
The Golden Hurricane men are ranked No. 13 in the nation and No. 2 in the Midwest Region, while the women's team is ranked No. 4 in the Midwest Region by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. The top two teams and top four individuals not on an advancing team from each region earn automatic bids to the NCAA Championships on Nov. 17 in Louisville, Ky. Additional teams and individuals are chosen through an at-large selection process following the regional competition.
The Midwest Region consists of Division I schools located in Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri and Illinois. A total of 33 schools will run in the meet on Friday.
