During this year’s Homecoming festivities the TU Lettermen’s Association and the Department of Athletics welcomed over fifty TU baseball lettermen back to campus for their reunion weekend. Among the attendees was longtime Golden Hurricane skipper and TU Athletics Hall of Fame member, Gene Shell. Shell was TU’s head baseball coach from 1966-1980 where he guided his team to the 1969 and 1971 College World Series and a #1 national ranking in 1972.

On Saturday, October 20th prior to the Homecoming football game against Rice, the baseball players convened for a brunch at the Tulsa Country Club. During the game, they were recognized in a special on-field salute. For a slide show of pictures from the weekend’s activities, click here.
