Since the opening of the Donald W. Reynolds Center in 1998, Tulsa’s athletic facilities have undergone a major facelift. New facilities include the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, the Collins Family Softball Complex, the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium, the J. Bird Sr. Shell Nest, the Jack Zink Indoor Rowing Center, the Case Athletic Complex and major renovation to H.A. Chapman Stadium.
TU is 75th among national doctoral universities in U. S. News & World Report's 2012 edition of America's Best Colleges. TU's 2011 freshman class had a mean cumulative grade point average of 3.8, and 74 percent graduated in the top 10 percent of their high school classes. Their average ACT was 28.

2011-12 -- Played in 22 games and totaled 18 points, 15 rebounds, six blocks, four assists and two steals in 4.9 minutes per game . . . played a season-high 11 minutes in the C-USA Tournament against Marshall (3-8), and tallied two points, two rebounds, and assist and a block . . . made his first career three-pointer and grabbed a career high three rebounds vs. Memphis (3-3) . . . blocked two shots and scored a basket at Rice (1-21) . . . scored two points and blocked a shot at East Carolina (1-14) . . . had 2 points, one rebound, one steal and one block in 9 minutes at Oklahoma State (11-30) . . . scored three points vs. Western Kentucky (11-17), his best point total thus far . . . scored his first collegiate career point with a free throw against Southeastern Louisiana (11-13) . . . grabbed his first career rebound in the season opener against UALR (11-11).
HIGH SCHOOL -- Was a four-year letterwinner and starter at Plano High School . . . averaged 15.4 points while leading his team to a 21-12 record as a senior . . . also averaged 7.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.9 blocks and 1.8 steals, while shooting 56 percent from the field in his senior season . . . earned first-team all-district honors his final three seasons . . . also earned first-team all-region accolades his senior campaign . . . played in the inaugural Texas Shootout High School All-Star Basketball Game . . . was rated as high as the 19th best senior prospect in the state of Texas by TexasHoops.com prior to his senior season . . . averaged 12.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.1 blocked shots, while shooting 49.3-percent from the field as a junior . . . scored at an 8.8 clip and pulled down 7.1 rebounds, while shooting 47-percent from the field in his sophomore season . . . was named as the District Newcomer of the Year as a sophomore . . . high school coach was Phil Parlin.
