TULSA, Okla. - Memphis used a big second half run to pull away from Tulsa, as the Golden Hurricane dropped its final regular season game, 78-66, Saturday afternoon at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.

Sophomore Jordan Clarkson scored 18 points to lead the Golden Hurricane (17-13, 10-6 C-USA), eclipsing double-digit points for the 27th straight game. Senior Steven Idlet scored 13 points and grabbed six rebounds on Senior Day. Scottie Haralson added 10 points for TU.

Will Barton scored 30 points with nine rebounds to lead Memphis (23-8, 13-3 C-USA), which went on an 18-3 run to open the second half. The Tigers shot 55 percent from the floor and made 14-of-17 free throws. Tulsa shot 44 percent from the field.

Memphis opened the game with an 18-5 lead in the first four minutes. Tulsa made several mini spurts, but could not get closer than eight points until less than four minutes left in the half.

Down 13 points, Tulsa used a 10-2 run to reduce the deficit to five points at 31-26 with 2:57 left in the half. After Memphis took an 11-point lead again, the Golden Hurricane closed the half on an 8-0 run, sparked by three-pointers from Haralson and Clarkson and went into the locker room down by three points, 37-34.

Memphis came out in the second half on an 18-3 run to open up its lead to 55-37. The Tigers took their largest lead of 25 points at 75-50 with 6:40 remaining.

The Hurricane ended the game on a 16-3 run to make the final score, 78-66.

The Golden Hurricane will travel to Memphis for the Conference USA Championships next week. Its seeding, opponent and game time are to be determined. The brackets are expected to be released Saturday evening.
