Tulsa was a No. 13 seed. Tulsa has been the No. 13-seed only one other time in the school's NCAA history, that time coming in Tulsa's last NCAA appearance (2003) as the Hurricane defeated No. 4-seed Dayton in the first round.
Shaquille Harrison has now started all 67 games since coming to Tulsa.
James Woodard has now scored in double-figures in 27 straight games.
D'Andre Wright had his 10th double-figure scoring game this season.
Stevie Repichowski made his first game appearance since breaking a finger on his left hand five games ago.
Tulsa trailed by five points (35-30) at halftime, marking only the fourth time this year that the Hurricane has trailed by five or more points at halftime.
Tulsa trailed by double-digits (43-32 at 16:38 in 2nd half) for the first time since Jan. 25 against UAB, 14 games ago. In the last 20 games, Tulsa trailed for only 10 seconds in 810 minutes, trailing in that UAB game by 10 points for only 10 seconds (3:59 to 3:49).
The deficit (17 points) was the largest in an NCAA tournament game for Tulsa since a 97-56 loss against No. 1 Duke in the 1999 NCAA East Regional.
