TULSA, Okla. - The Tulsa basketball team returns home to kick off the 2013 year when it takes on Buffalo at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.

The Golden Hurricane (7-6) is playing its first game inside the friendly confines of the Reynolds Center for the first time since a Dec. 8 win over TCU. TU went 1-3 away from home during that stretch, defeating Oral Roberts and falling to UALR, Creighton and Florida State. The Bulls, meanwhile come in at 5-8 on the season as winners of three of their last four games, including an 84-64 win over Notre Dame College.

Tickets for the game are available through the TU Athletics Ticket Office online at TulsaHurricane.com, by calling 631-GoTU (4688), or in person at the Reynolds Center Ticket Office. Single game tickets can be purchased for $10, $14, $19, $29 and $39. The game will be broadcast on KRMG AM 740/102.3 FM, and www.TulsaHurricane.com.

This is just the second all-time meeting between Tulsa and Buffalo. The Golden Hurricane won the only previous meeting, an 80-75 win over the Bulls in the opening round of the 2001 Yahoo! Sports Invitational in Kahuku, Hawai'i.

Freshman guard James Woodard leads the active Golden Hurricane players in scoring, averaging 13.6 points, with 6.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. Senior guard Scottie Haralson averages 9.8 points and 2.5 three-pointers per contest. Freshman forward D'Andre Wright scores 8.2 points per game with 5.1 rebounds, and freshman guard Rashad Ray averages 7.4 points. Senior forward Kauri Black puts up 6.8 points and 5.1 rebounds per contest. Junior guard Pat Swilling, Jr., has averaged 9.7 points and 1.8 rebounds in his six games back on the court.



The Golden Hurricane averages 67.5 points and 36.7 rebounds per game, and shoots 45 percent from the field, 34 percent from three-point range and 67 percent from the free throw line. TU allows 65.1 points and 32.8 rebounds per contest, as well as a .409 field goal percentage and a .338 three-point percentage.
