Men's Basketball Plays at UCF Saturday Feb. 23, 2013
ORLANDO, Fla. - The Tulsa basketball team is on the road for another key Conference USA contest, this time against UCF at 3 p.m. Saturday at UCF Arena. The game will be broadcast on KRMG AM 740/102.3 FM in Tulsa, and on www.TulsaHurricane.com. The Golden Hurricane (14-11, 6-5 C-USA) and Knights (17-9, 7-5 C-USA) are meeting for the 14th time. Tulsa leads the series, 8-5. The Golden Hurricane has won four of the last five meetings, including a 66-61 victory in Tulsa last season. The Knights won the last contest in Orlando, 58-57, in 2011. Tulsa holds a 6-5 edge in the series since 2006, and is 1-5 all-time in Orlando. TU's only victory at UCF was a 55-50 win in 2010.

The Golden Hurricane averages 67.0 points and 36.5 rebounds per game, and shoots 43 percent from the field, 33 percent from three-point range and 66 percent from the free throw line. TU allows 66.5 points and 35.0 rebounds per contest, as well as a .403 field goal percentage and a .324 three-point percentage. Freshman guard James Woodard leads the active Golden Hurricane players in scoring, averaging 11.8 points, with 5.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. Senior guard Scottie Haralson averages 10.0 points and 3.8 rebounds per contest. Junior guard Pat Swilling Jr., averages 10.2 points, freshman forward D'Andre Wright averages 8.8 points and 5.2 rebounds and freshman guard Rashad Ray averages 7.7 points. Senior forward Kauri Black puts up 7.7 points and 4.7 rebounds per contest, while freshman guard Shaquille Harrison adds 2.6 assists and 6.3 points.
UCF scores 70.9 points and averages 36.3 rebounds per game, while shooting .464 from the field, .359 from distance and .638 from the foul line. The Knights allow opponents to score 66.8 points and grab 33.8 rebounds per contest, and shoot .431 from the field and .315 from three-point range. Isaiah Sykes leas UCF with 15.8 points, and is followed by Keith Clanton, who scores 15.1 points, along with Calvin Newell's 11.7 points and Tristan Spurlock's 11.0 points per game. Sykes and Clanton average 7.2 and 8.7 rebounds per game, respectively, and Sykes adds 4.5 assists per outing.
