TULSA, Okla. - The Tulsa basketball team plays its home finale Sunday when it welcomes Conference USA foe UTSA for a 3 p.m. contest at the Donald W. Reynolds Center. It is Senior Day and Legends Day for the Golden Hurricane.

TU will honor seniors Barrett Hunter and Tim Peete in a pregame ceremony. Fans are encouraged to arrive early for the festivities, which will begin at approximately 2:45 p.m.

In addition, former Tulsa basketball players will be recognized at halftime with a special ceremony honoring the 20th anniversary of the 1993-94 NCAA Sweet Sixteen team, with most team members and Head Coach Tubby Smith in attendance.

Tulsa Puts Hurtt On UTSA, 92-67
Justin Hurtt scored 33 points, his third consecutive game with at least 30, to lead Tulsa to a 92-67 victory against Texas-San Antonio on Thursday night.

The Golden Hurricane (16-12, 11-3 C-USA) has won six in a row and 12 of its last 15 games, and is back at home after a three-game road swing. The Roadrunners (8-19, 4-10 C-USA) have lost three in a row since a 66-56 win over Florida Atlantic, including a 71-62 loss to North Texas on Thursday.

Sophomore guard James Woodard leads Tulsa in scoring and rebounding, averaging 14.6 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. Sophomore forward Rashad Smith scores 12.5 points with 5.2 rebounds per game. Shaquille Harrison averages 10.0 points and 3.5 assists per contest. Sophomore forward D'Andre Wright averages 7.3 points, sophomore guard Rashad Ray scores 6.1 points, Lew Evans scores 5.6 points and 4.0 rebounds per outing, Tim Peete averages 5.1 points and Brandon Swannegan averages 4.3 points.



The Golden Hurricane averages 73.1 points and 36.3 rebounds per game, shooting .443 from the field, including .331 from 3-point territory. Hurricane opponents average 68.1 points and 35.4 rebounds, while shooting .408 from the field.

This is the fifth meeting between Tulsa and UTSA. Tulsa leads the series 4-0. All four contests have been played in Tulsa. The Golden Hurricane won the last meeting 92-67 in 2010. TU also won 77-57 in 1994, 81-68 in 1998, and 76-59 in 1999. The Hurricane has won the four previous meetings by an average of 18.8 points.
