TU Plays Senior Night Contest vs. SMU Wednesday March 5, 2013
TULSA, Okla. - The Tulsa basketball team plays its final home game of the 2012-13 season Wednesday night when it takes on Conference USA rival SMU at 7 p.m. at the Donald W. Reynolds Center. Tulsa will honor its four seniors in a ceremony prior to the game: Kauri Black, Jamie Booker, Scottie Haralson and Kodi Maduka. Fans are encouraged to arrive by 6:45 p.m. for the senior presentation. The Golden Hurricane (15-13, 7-7 C-USA) and Mustangs (14-15, 4-10 C-USA) are meeting for the second time this season. TU claimed a 48-47 victory in Dallas back on Jan. 6 in the league opener for both teams. The Hurricane won its last outing, a 78-66 victory over Tulane on Saturday, while the SMU fell to UAB, 74-69 Saturday. Wednesday's game will be broadcast on KRMG AM 740/102.3 FM in Tulsa, and on www.TulsaHurricane.com.

Tickets can be purchased for $10, $14, $19, $29 and $39. The Golden Hurricane averages 67.6 points and 36.8 rebounds per game, and shoots 43 percent from the field, 33 percent from three-point range and 68 percent from the free throw line. TU allows 67.1 points and 35.0 rebounds per contest, as well as a .399 field goal percentage and a .323 three-point percentage.
Freshman guard James Woodard leads the active Golden Hurricane players in scoring, averaging 11.8 points, with 5.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. Senior guard Scottie Haralson averages 10.1 points and 3.7 rebounds per contest. Junior guard Pat Swilling Jr., averages 10.7 points, freshman forward D'Andre Wright averages 8.4 points and 4.9 rebounds and freshman guard Rashad Ray averages 7.8 points. Senior forward Kauri Black puts up 7.6 points and 4.5 rebounds per contest, while freshman guard Shaquille Harrison adds 2.9 assists and 6.6 points. SMU averages 64.8 points and 33.7 rebounds per game, while shooting .452 from the field, .351 from downtown and .750 from the free throw line. The Mustangs allow opponents 62.5 points and 31.1 rebounds, with a .391 field goal percentage and a .337 three-point percentage. Jalen Jones leads the team with 14.6 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. Nick Russell averages 14.1 points and 4.4 assists per game, and Ryan Manuel adds 12.3 points per outing. This is the 44th meeting between Tulsa and SMU. Tulsa leads the series, 30-13. The Golden Hurricane has won 13 of the last 15 games in the series, including the 48-47 win in Dallas earlier this season. Tulsa and SMU have split each of the last two season series, with each team winning on the road. From 2006-10, the Hurricane won 10 straight vs. SMU. Last season, SMU claimed a 57-55 win in Tulsa on a last-second shot, while the Hurricane took home a 66-60 win over the Mustangs in Dallas. Tulsa holds an 11-5 advantage against the Mustangs at home, and is 18-6 in Dallas. The series is tied 1-1 on a neutral court.
