EL PASO, Texas - Tulsa sophomore guard James Woodard was named to the NABC District 11 Second Team, the National Association of Basketball Coaches announced Wednesday.

Woodard, a 6-3 guard from Arcadia, Okla., was selected to the All-C-USA Second Team earlier this week. He averaged 15.3 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game in conference play, leading the Golden Hurricane to a 13-3 C-USA record and a share of the regular season championship. Woodard averaged 14.9 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.9 assists during the regular season, and has scored double-digit points in 26 games this season, including 23 straight contests.

The second-seeded Golden Hurricane (18-12, 13-3 C-USA) opens the Conference USA Championship at noon on Thursday against either Tulane or North Texas in quarterfinal action.
