WATCH PARTY AT REYNOLDS CENTER SATURDAY MORNING FOR C-USA CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

El Paso, Texas - It will be the top two seeds that will square off Saturday morning for the Conference USA Men's Basketball Championship. The Tulsa Golden Hurricane advanced to the championship game with a 76-69 victory over Middle Tennessee in the first of the two semifinal games on Friday. In the second semifinal contest, No. 1-seed LA Tech defeated Southern Miss 83-66 to advance to the title game.
The championship game will be played at 9:30 am (MT)/10:30 am (CT) Saturday morning from the Don Haskins Center. The game can be seen live on CBS with Ian Eagle and Jim Spanarkel calling the action. A watch party for TU fans will be held at the Donald W. Reynolds Center on the TU campus where fans can watch the game on the 346-inch `Cane Vision screen. Gates will open at 9:30 am.
Tulsa (20-12, 13-3 C-USA) will be playing in its first C-USA Championship game since 2009, when Tulsa faced the host Memphis Tigers. LA Tech (27-6, 13-3 C-USA) is in its first season as a Conference USA member.
LA Tech won the regular season meeting, 66-61, on February 6th in Ruston, Louisiana. In that game, Shaquille Harrison scored 14 points and James Woodard added 10 points for the Hurricane, while Jaron Johnson led the Bulldogs with 18 points.
Saturday's winner will receive Conference USA's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
