Hurricane Notes Tulsa has played in six time zones this season -- Atlantic, Eastern, Central, Hawaiian, Mountain and Pacific . . . in 24 of Tulsa's 35 games this season, the Hurricane has had at least four players scoring in double-figures. Tulsa has had six players in double digits three times, five players seven times and four players in 14 games . . . Tulsa's 7-0 start was a first under Bill Self in his three seasons, and the best start for the Hurricane since a 15-0 start in 1983-84 . . . the Hurricane has a 18.4 scoring margin over its opponents . . . under Bill Self, Tulsa has a 20-3 non-conference home record . . . Tulsa averages 11.8 steals per game, as compared to the opponents 7.7 steals . . . Tulsa has led at halftime in 33 of 35 games this season, as the only two games Tulsa trailed at halftime was at San Jose State, 26-25, and against Fresno State in the WAC Tournament, 35-31 . . . Tulsa has a 7-0 record against teams which were NCAA Tournament participants a year ago -- Rhode Island, Texas-San Antonio, UAB, SW Missouri State, UNC Charlotte, Tennessee and Creighton . . . Tulsa is 4-3 against 2000 NCAA Tournament teams, defeating Tennessee, Creighton, UNLV and Cincinnati and losing three times to league rival Fresno State, including two games on the FSU homecourt . . . in the first three games this season, Tulsa scored over 90 points marking the first time in school history that Tulsa had scored 90 or more points in three straight games . . . the Hurricane has scored over 90 points in a total of eight games this season . . . Tulsa was the USA Today and ESPN.com Team of the Week after capturing the Puerto Rico Holiday Classic title with wins over Boston College, UNC Charlotte and #11 Tennessee . . . Tulsa held Rice to 33 points on Feb. 14, the lowest for an opponent since Rice scored an identical 33 points in Jan. 1997 . . . Rice's 33 points was also two fewer than the number of turnovers (35) Tulsa forced the Owls into in that game . . . the most points that Tulsa has ever trailed by this year was 8 points in the first half in the WAC title game against Fresno State, next Tulsa was down by seven to Creighton at the 12:47 mark of the second half.
