Tulsa to Play in 2012 MetroPCS Orange Bowl Basketball Classic

TULSA, Okla. - The University of Tulsa basketball team will face Florida State in the 19th edition of the MetroPCS Orange Bowl Basketball Classic on Dec. 29 at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla. The Golden Hurricane game against the Seminoles is part of a four-team doubleheader that will also feature Florida and Air Force. TU and FSU will play the first game, while Florida and Air Force will follow. Game times will be announced at a later date. Tulsa is under the direction of first-year Head Coach Danny Manning. Florida State, led by Head Coach Leonard Hamilton, won the ACC Championship in 2012 and returns four of its top five scorers. This will be the fourth meeting between TU and FSU, and the first since the 1982-83 season. Florida State leads the series, 3-0.
