Leading up to the start of basketball season, TulsaHurricane.com will feature each TU men's basketball player, as fans get to learn more about the 2013-14 edition of the Golden Hurricane.

James Woodard is a sophomore at Tulsa. The 6'3", 183-lb. guard from Edmond, Okla., was a Conference USA All-Freshman Team selection in 2012 after leading the Golden Hurricane in points (12.0) and rebounds (5.8). With 383 points, he scored the second-most all time by a TU freshman. He also finished third among Hurricane freshmen in rebounds (187) and 10th in assists (64) and steals (31). In his first season at Tulsa, the former Oklahoma Class 6A All-State selection at Edmond Memorial High School tallied five double-doubles, scored double digit points in 22 games and scored at least 20 points four times. Additionally, he was named C-USA Freshman of the Week on four occasions.
