All 18 of Tulsa's conference games will be televised on an ESPN network or by CBS Sports Network, while all 11 games of The American Championship will be televised by one of the ESPN networks.
Tulsa faces a step up in conference play in the power American Athletic Conference. Three teams in The American played in the NCAA Tournament last season, including national champion UConn, regular season conference co-champion Cincinnati, and Memphis. SMU reached the finals of the postseason NIT.
"We're thrilled about playing our first season in the American Athletic Conference," Tulsa Head Frank Haith said. "We're excited to play on national television every night, and excited that we'll have the opportunity to play home-and-home games against defending national champion UConn and against some of the teams in our league that have been consistent NCAA Tournament programs."
The Golden Hurricane opens its first season of play in The American on Dec. 31 at UCF. The Hurricane home debut is Jan. 4 when it plays host to Houston. Tulsa will play 12 non-conference games prior to beginning league play. That slate includes contests against Oklahoma, Oral Roberts, Wichita State, Creighton and Auburn.
Tulsa opens conference play at UCF on New Year's Eve. It will be the only meeting of the season between the Hurricane and Knights, which played 12 times from 2006-13. Tulsa won six of those games, and leads the overall series, 8-6.
The Golden Hurricane opens its home league schedule Sunday, Jan. 4 against Houston. TU then returns the trip to face the Cougars on Thursday, Feb. 5. Tulsa and Houston renew a tightly contested rivalry in which the Hurricane has won the last three meetings, and leads the series, 23-21.

TU continues its conference rivalries with East Carolina and Tulane, which also joined Tulsa in The American this year. TU plays at East Carolina on Saturday, Jan. 24, and at the Reynolds Center on Wednesday, Feb. 18. The Hurricane leads the series, 11-2, including a 76-58 win at home last season.
The Golden Hurricane plays at Tulane on Wednesday, Jan. 28, while the Green Wave returns the visit on Wednesday, Feb. 25. Tulsa won both meetings against Tulane last season, and leads the overall series, 12-5.
