Leading up to the start of basketball season, TulsaHurricane.com will feature each TU men's basketball player, as fans get to learn more about the 2013-14 edition of the Golden Hurricane.

Lew Evans is a sophomore at Tulsa. The 6'8", 230-lb. guard from Salt Lake City, Utah, came to TU after spending one year at Casper College in Wyoming. He played in 30 games, averaging 10 points, seven rebounds, two steals and one block per game, connecting on 43 percent of his field goals and 40 percent of his three-point attempts. Prior to joining Casper College, Evans spent one year at New Hampton Prep in New Hampshire, where he averaged 10 points and six rebounds for the Huskies. He graduated from Highland High School in Salt Lake City, where he lettered four years in basketball and three years in baseball. As a high school senior, Evans earned first-team Utah Class 4A All-State accolades after he paced his team with 15 points and nine rebounds, leading Highland to the 2011 Utah Class 4A State Championship.
