The University of Tulsa men's basketball team, coming off a school-best 32-5 season and appearance in the NCAA South Regional Finals, will return to the court on Friday night, Oct. 13, at the Donald W. Reynolds Center for Midnight Mania 2000.

The much-anticipated return to the court of the men's basketball team, led by first-year head coach Buzz Peterson, will take place at midnight, the earliest that basketball team's across the nation can begin practicing for the 2000-01 season. Under the coaching of Kathy McConnell-Miller, the Tulsa women's team will also join in on the action.

The doors will open at 10:30 p.m. on Friday, October 13, and festivities will begin shortly thereafter. Contests for fans -- $10,000 shooting contests, 3-point fan shootout , lucky numbers, free throw contests and much more -- and numerous prizes will be awarded before the TU teams take the court at 12 midnight. Special season introduction highlight videos of each team will be shown.

Both teams will scrimmage. There is no admission fee.
