TU Men's Basketball Staff Hosts Coaches' Clinic

University of Tulsa Head Basketball Coach Buzz Peterson and the TU basketball coaching staff will host a Coaches' Clinic on Friday-Saturday, October 20-21. The clinic will be held on the Tulsa campus at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.
The clinic begins at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct.21, and runs through Saturday, Oct.22. Saturday's portion of the clinic begins at 8:00 a.m. and runs until the kick-off of the TU-TCU football game at 6:00 p.m. The clinic is open to coaches on the elementary school, middle school and high school level. Coaches attending the clinic will receive a clinic shirt, free gifts from Nike, clinic notes and coaching packet, and two tickets to the football game.
The clinic will be staffed by Peterson and the TU basketball coaching staff including John Phillips, associate head coach, assistant coaches Al Daniel and Kerry Keating and Ed Conroy, director of basketball operations. Peterson brings 13 years of Division I coaching experience to the Tulsa basketball program.
Peterson was a member of the 1982 NCAA Champion North Carolina team, and has coached five teams that advanced to postseason competition, including three trips to the NCAA Tournament and two appearances in the NIT. As head coach at Appalachian State the past four seasons, Peterson's teams had three 20-win seasons, won three conference titles and advanced to the NCAA Tournament a year ago.
