Tulsa Basketball Holds Open Practice Saturday Oct. 20, 2012
TULSA, Okla. - As part of Homecoming festivities, the Tulsa men's basketball team held an open practice in the Donald W. Reynolds Center Saturday morning before the football team's 28-24 victory over Rice. Fans were able to catch an early glimpse of the new-look Golden Hurricane before the exhibition games that begin next weekend. TU, under first-year head coach Danny Manning, features four returning players and seven newcomers on its roster. The Hurricane practiced for an hour before opening the doors to the public, where it showcased some of the aggressive, up-tempo style it will play under Manning.
Tulsa plays host to Emporia State at 3:05 p.m. om Oct. 27 in its first exhibition game of the season. TU will also play Oklahoma Panhandle State on Nov. 4 at 4:35 p.m. The season officially opens Nov. 11 when Tulsa plays host to LSU Shreveport at 7:05 p.m. Follow Tulsa Men's Basketball on Twitter at www.Twitter.com/TUMBasketball and Facebook at www.facebook.com/TulsaMBasketball.
