TULSA, Okla. - The Tulsa basketball team returns home to the Donald W. Reynolds Center for the first time in 10 days Wednesday when it plays host to Jackson State at 7:05 p.m.

The Golden Hurricane (3-1) is coming off of a 2-1 weekend at the NUCDF Challenge, defeating Northern Kentucky, 76-56, and San Diego, 63-51, before falling to Cal State Northridge, 92-76, in the finale. Jackson State (0-1) fell to Baylor, 78-47, in its only game of the season thus far.

Tulsa is led in scoring by freshman guard James Woodard, who averages 15.5 points and 4.0 rebounds per game, while sophomore forward Rashad Smith averages 14.5 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. Senior guard Scottie Haralson scored 10.3 points, and freshmen D'Andre Wright and Rashad Ray each add 9.5 points per contest. Wright leads the Hurricane with a 5.5 rebounding average, while Ray leads the team with 2.75 assists per game



The Golden Hurricane averages 81.2 points and 39.0 rebounds per game, and shoots 51 percent from the field, 38 percent from three-point range and 77 percent from the free throw line. TU allows 63.2 points and 31.0 rebounds per contest, as well as a .348 field goal percentage and a .284 three-point percentage.

This will be the sixth meeting between Tulsa and Jackson State. TU leads the series, 5-0. The Golden Hurricane has won all five meetings by an average of 36.2 points, including a 57-51 win last season in Jackson, Miss. The four previous contests in the series were all held in Tulsa. In the last meeting at the Reynolds Center, the Hurricane defeated the Tigers, 92-39, in 2009.
