TULSA, Okla. - The Tulsa men's basketball team takes on TCU at noon Saturday at the Donald W. Reynolds Center. The Hurricane-Horned Frogs game is the first of a TU Basketball doubleheader, as the women play host to Colorado State at 2:30 p.m.

A ticket to the men's game includes free admission for the women's game.

As part of Saturday's doubleheader TU will also hold the Winter Wonderland Toy Drive to benefit the Supporters of Families with Sickle Cell Disease. Fans can bring a new toy valued at $10, and receive a voucher for free admission to both games.

The Golden Hurricane (5-3) has won each of the last two meetings with the Horned Frogs (6-3), including a 74-66 win in Fort Worth last season.

The contest will be broadcast on Fox Sports Network (Cox Cable Ch. 27/722 HD), on KRMG AM 740/102.3 FM, and www.TulsaHurricane.com. Tickets for the game are available through the TU Athletics Ticket Office online at TulsaHurricane.com, by calling 631-GoTU (4688), or in person at the Reynolds Center Ticket Office. Single game tickets can be purchased for $10, $14, $19, $29 and $39.

The Golden Hurricane averages 71.6 points and 37.4 rebounds per game, and shoots 47 percent from the field, 33 percent from three-point range and 72 percent from the free throw line. TU allows 63.0 points and 32.8 rebounds per contest, as well as a .394 field goal percentage and a .309 three-point percentage.

Freshman guard James Woodard leads the Golden Hurricane, averaging 15.3 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game, while shooting 51 percent from the floor. Senior guard Scottie Haralson averages 9.5 points and 2.4 three-pointers per contest. Freshman guard Rashad Ray averages 8.3 points and freshman forward D'Andre Wright scores 7.8 points per game, while Ray adds 1.6 assists per game, and Wright adds 5.9 rebounds. Senior forward Kauri Black puts up 7.3 points and 5.4 rebounds per contest

 

 

This is the 32nd meeting between Tulsa and TCU. Tulsa leads the series, 31-20. The Golden Hurricane also won in 2010, 69-66, in Tulsa. TU has won 10 of the last 11 meetings dating back to the 1998-99 season. TCU's lone win during that stretch was a 93-87 overtime win in 2001 in Fort Worth. The Hurricane has an average margin of victory of 13.7 points in that stretch. Tulsa is 11-2 all time against TCU in Tulsa.
