Tulsa Hoops Team Returns to Action Sunday

Tulsa, Oklahoma - The Tulsa men's basketball team, 6-4 on the season, looks to continue its four-game winning streak on Sunday afternoon against the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils. Tip-off is at 2:05 pm at the Donald W. Reynolds Center. Tulsa was last on the court December 22, as the Hurricane defeated Southeast Missouri State by a score of 89-51. In the last three games, the Hurricane has averaged 84.7 points, while shooting 56-percent from the field and 54-percent from three-point range. Tulsa has scored double-digit victories in all six home contests this year, while posting a 20.8 win margin in those games. It will be the last time that Tulsa fans can see the Hurricane at home for 17 days. Tulsa will not play again at the Reynolds Center until January 16 when conference foe Tulane visits in the first Conference USA home game for the Hurricane. Sophomore Ben Uzoh leads a balanced Tulsa attack with a 16.1 scoring average, followed by five more players scoring over seven points per game. Seven-footer Jerome Jordan, another sophomore, is among the nation's leaders for blocked shots with a 3.3 average Tickets for Sunday's game can be purchased at the gate for as low as $10.00. In addition, Golden Hurricane Club members can receive two free tickets, while youth, eighth grade and under, can receive a $5.00 admission to the game.
