Since the opening of the Donald W. Reynolds Center in 1998, Tulsa’s athletic facilities have undergone a major facelift. New facilities include the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, the Collins Family Softball Complex, the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium, the J. Bird Sr. Shell Nest, the Jack Zink Indoor Rowing Center, the Case Athletic Complex and major renovation to H.A. Chapman Stadium.
TU is 75th among national doctoral universities in U. S. News & World Report's 2012 edition of America's Best Colleges. TU's 2011 freshman class had a mean cumulative grade point average of 3.8, and 74 percent graduated in the top 10 percent of their high school classes. Their average ACT was 28.

Tulsa - A returning letterwinner . . . enrolled at Tulsa at mid-semester 2010 . . . made the move from defense in the spring of 2010 after playing quarterback at Navarro Junior College, then moved to receiver in the fall . . . moved back to the defensive secondary in the spring of 2011 . . . 2010 - Played in 12 games . . . did not play at Memphis . . . played receiver, but saw most of his playing time on special teams . . . had eight tackles, including seven solos . . . also was credited with a forced fumble . . . Overall - Started the spring at safety, but moved to cornerback . . . possesses good size and athletic ability . . . has good running ability, ball skills and speed . . . provides solid depth at cornerback . . . has been a solid special teams performer.
Junior College - Was a two-year letterwinner and starter at Navarro Junior College . . . was on teams that posted a two-year mark of 21-2 . . . played in four games before suffering a season-ending injury in 2009 . . . gained 399 rushing yards and threw for nine touchdowns in four games from his quarterback position . . . junior college coach was Nick Bobeck.
High School - Played only his senior season at South Houston High School . . . threw for 1,533 yards and 14 touchdowns, while rushing for 1,033 yards and 16 TDs . . . earned second-team all-district honors . . . high school coach was C.L. Whittington.
