Was a four-year letterwinner at Hooker High School . . . played quarterback, receiver and running back on offense, and middle linebacker and free safety on defense . . . rushed for 4,794 career yards, while passing for 1,780 yards in his career . . . also had over 500 receiving yards in his career . . . totaled 258 career tackles, 17 TFLs and five interceptions in his career . . . was a three-time all-district performer . . . gained over 2,000 yard rushing, 1,000 yards passing and 200 yards receiving as a senior . . . was credited with 105 tackles, 10 TFLs and two interceptions his senior season . . . was an honorable mention all-state selection by The Oklahoman . . . was named the District Player of the Year as a senior and was selected as the Guymon Herald Player of the Year his junior season . . . was named to The Oklahoman's "Super 30" as a senior . . . totaled 92 stops and two interceptions as a junior . . . high school coach was Jake Kramer . . . chose Tulsa over Colorado State, San Diego State and Wyoming.
