Since the opening of the Donald W. Reynolds Center in 1998, Tulsa’s athletic facilities have undergone a major facelift. New facilities include the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, the Collins Family Softball Complex, the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium, the J. Bird Sr. Shell Nest, the Jack Zink Indoor Rowing Center, the Case Athletic Complex and major renovation to H.A. Chapman Stadium.
TU is 75th among national doctoral universities in U. S. News & World Report's 2012 edition of America's Best Colleges. TU's 2011 freshman class had a mean cumulative grade point average of 3.8, and 74 percent graduated in the top 10 percent of their high school classes. Their average ACT was 28.

Tulsa - A returning letterwinner and starter . . . 2010 - Was one of several true freshman to earn a letter . . . played in all 13 games and started nine contests . . . totaled 30 receptions for 367 yards and two touchdowns . . . ranked fourth on the team for receiving yards . . . was named to the Conference USA all-freshman team . . . caught two passes for a season-high 63 yards and a career-long 47-yard TD against Hawai'i in the Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl . . . also had two receptions for 55 yards against UTEP, including a 44-yard reception . . . had 58 yards on two receptions vs. Rice, and scored his first career TD on a 19-yard reception in that game . . . had three receptions for 36 yards in a starting role in his first collegiate game against East Carolina . . . total three receptions in four more games on the year . . . was named to the C-USA Academic Honor Roll . . .
