TULSA, Okla. - Tulsa fell to UTSA, 34-15, Saturday afternoon in front of a Homecoming crowd of 21,815 Saturday afternoon at H.A. Chapman Stadium.

The Golden Hurricane fell to 2-6 overall and 1-3 in Conference USA play, while the Roadrunners improved to 4-5 overall and 3-2 in C-USA play.

Tulsa totaled 378 yards, including 221 through the air and 157 on the ground, while UTSA totaled 400 yards, including 286 rushing and 114 passing. Trey Watts led TU with 109 rushing yards on 15 carries, and finished with 151 all-purpose yards.

Dane Evans completed 12-of-22 passes for 159 yards and one touchdown, and Keevan Lucas tallied a career-high 87 receiving yards on five catches. Shawn Jackson led Tulsa with 11 tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss.

UTSA quarterback Eric Soza completed 16-of-20 passes for 114 yards, and David Glasco II led the Roadrunners with 140 rushing yards on 21 carries.

UTSA got on the board first, driving 60 yards in three plays following a punt to take a 7-0 lead. Eric Soza connected with Evans Okotcha for the five yard touchdown pass.

The Roadrunners took a 14-0 lead with 4:17 left in the first quarter when Nick Johnson recovered a muffed punt in the end zone.

Sean Ianno added a 41-yard field goal with 11:31 left in the second quarter to make the score 17-0. UTSA extended its lead to 24-0 with an 84-yard touchdown run by Kam Jones.

Tulsa got on the scoreboard with 0:06 left in the third quarter when Dane Evans found Jordan James in the end zone from nine yards out. The drive was spurred along by a 56-yard completion from Evans to Keevan Lucas. The Hurricane converted the two-point attempt with a completion from Evans to Thomas Roberson, making the score 24-8.

UTSA extended its lead to 34-8 in the fourth quarter with a 31-yard field goal by Ianno and an 82-yard interception return for a touchdown by Triston Wade.

Tulsa scored with 3:52 left in the game when Hurricane quarterback Joseph Calcagni connected with Joshua Atkinson for a six-yard touchdown pass. The point after by Carl Salazar made the score 34-15. It was the first career completion and touchdown pass for the sophomore Calcagni, and the first career touchdown reception for Atkinson.

Tulsa is on the road next week, Nov. 9, as it travels to East Carolina for a 2:45 p.m. kickoff. The game will be televised by FSN.
