Tulsa, Oklahoma - At The University of Tulsa's Annual All Sports Banquet on Tuesday night, April 24, President Steadman Upham announced during his opening remarks that the University had, within the past two hours, received the naming gift for renovation of the football stadium.

The H.A. and Mary K. Chapman Trust has provided the financial gift for half of the estimated cost for renovation of the H.A. Chapman Stadium. Cost for the stadium renovation is an estimated $18 million. Trustees of the H.A. And Mary K. Chapman Trust are Donne Pitman and Jerry Dickman.

The renovations include new seating throughout the stadium, restrooms, new press box and new scoreboard among other amenities. The renovation will begin following the 2007 football season and expects to be completed prior to the 2008 season.

"It's a magnificent and transformative gift from longtime generous supporters of The University of Tulsa and the community," said President Upham. "The H.A. And Mary K. Chapman Foundation is one of our best and loyal donors."

Other gifts to the university from the H.A. and Mary K. Chapman Private Foundations have included scholarships, gifts to the Case Athletic Complex, the Reynolds Center and the front entrance of campus.

The University of Tulsa will hold a news conference unveiling additional renderings of Skelly Field at H.A. Chapman Stadium at a later date.
