Tulsa, Okla. - The Women of the Hurricane Club and Tulsa Football hosted the annual Football 101 event on Thursday evening inside the Case Athletic Complex. More than 180 women enjoyed learning about the basics of football from head coach, Bill Blankenship and the entire Tulsa football coaching staff. Guests in attendance also enjoyed a dinner provided by Naples Flatbread and Wine Bar. This year's event raised more than $1,300 to benefit the Tulsa Boys' Home.

Tulsa kicks off the 2013 season on Thursday, August 29 in Ohio against the Bowling Green Falcons. Game time has been set for 6 p.m. (CT)/7 p.m. (ET) and can be seen on ESPNU. The Hurricane open the home schedule on September 7 against the Colorado State Rams with a 6:00 p.m. kick time.
