For the second consecutive week, University of Tulsa plackeicker Chris Earnest was named the Western Athletic Conference's Special Teams Player of the Week, as announced by the league office today.

Earnest, a junior from Houston, Texas (Second Baptist HS), connected on 3-of-3 field goals in Tulsa's 22-10 victory over Louisiana Tech converting on field goals of 37, 41 and 38 yards. It marked the second straight week in which hit converted all three field goal attempts. On the year, he has connected on all nine of his field goal attempts.

He ranks third nationally with 2.25 field goals per game, and is the only kicker among the nation's top-20 to be perfect on his field goals. Earnest also ranks 34th nationally in scoring this year.

Earnest ranks eighth on the school's all-time field goals list with 15 made field goals.
