For the third straight week, a University of Tulsa football player was named the WAC's Special Teams Player of the Week. Junior punt returner Donald Shoals earned the award this week, as announced by the league office today.

In the previous two weeks, placekicker Chris Earnest won the honor. Shoals, from Enid, Oklahoma, had his second punt return for a touchdown this season with a 41-yarder in Tulsa's 24-14 win at Hawaii. He totalled three punt returns for 72 yards in the contest.

Shoals became the first player to return two punts for a touchdown in a season for the Golden Hurricane since 1970.
