TULSA'S ST. JOHN NAMED TO TED HENDRICKS AWARD WATCH LIST

Chicago, Illinois - University of Tulsa senior defensive end Jared St. John (Edmond, Okla.) was named to the watch list for the 2012 Ted Hendricks Award, announced an updated watch list by The Ted Hendricks Foundation. St. John is one of 33 of the nation's top defensive ends on the awards' watch list. In its 11th season, the Ted Hendricks Award is named in honor of college football's first three-time first-team All-American. St. John, a former walk-on for the Golden Hurricane, is in his first season as a starting defensive end. Through eight games, he has totaled 30 tackles this year. Among his tackles, St. John has been credited with 22 solos, eight stops for -45 yards and seven of those have been quarterback sacks for -44 yards. He ranks 21st nationally for sacks. St. John has also forced two fumbles this year. In his career, St. John has collected 42 career tackles and 10 stops for -55 yards, while playing in 27 career games.
