Tulsa, Oklahoma -- University of Tulsa Head Football Coach Keith Burns confirmed today that tight ends coach Dan Sharp has left the Golden Hurricane coaching staff.

Sharp, who completed his third season on the Tulsa coaching staff, is expected to return to his alma mater, TCU, as an assistant coach. Sharp coached the tight ends and special teams this past season. He spent his first two seasons on the Hurricane coaching staff as defensive ends coach. Before coming to Tulsa, Sharp spent seven seasons on the TCU coaching staff under Pat Sullivan.

The former TCU tight end was an all-Southwest Conference performer for the Horned Frogs as a senior in 1984.
