Memphis, Tenn. - Preparations are winding down for The University of Tulsa as Monday's 54th Annual Liberty Bowl is two days away. Tulsa and Iowa State square off in a 2:35 pm game Monday afternoon at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium.

On Friday following a 90-minute practice session at Memphis University School (MUS), Tulsa Offensive Coordinator Greg Peterson and players Jake Alexander, Cody Green, Jordan James and Trey Watts met with the media at the Embassy Suites Media Hotel.

Tulsa defensive players - DeAundre Brown, Cory Dorris, Derrick Jackson and Dexter McCoil - and Coordinator Brent Guy met the media at 10:30 am on Saturday.

On Friday, Tulsa players also visited either the Civil Rights Museum or Graceland during the afternoon and attended a professional rodeo in the evening.

The Annual AutoZone Liberty Bowl Player and Coach Luncheon was held on Saturday at 12 noon at the Memphis Hilton. Tulsa President Steadman Upham, Acting Athletic Director Kevan Buck, Head Coach Bill Blankenship and Quarterback Cody Green each spoke for the Hurricane. Senior defensive end Jared St John was recognized as Tulsa's recipient with the AutoZone Liberty Bowl Scholar-Athlete Award.

Following the luncheon, the Hurricane practiced at MUS Stadium for the final time Saturday afternoon. Both teams will attend the NBA's Memphis Grizzlies-Denver Nuggets Game Friday night at the FedEx Forum.

Tulsa will take a team photo and have its final walk-thru on Sunday afternoon at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium.
