Tulsa Men Golfers in Seventh Place at the John Hayt Invitational

Jacksonville, Fla. - Senior Logan McCracken is leading the Tulsa men's golf team at the John Hayt Invitational with a three-under par 141, while the Hurricane team sits in seventh place in the 15-team field at the par-72 Sawgrass Country Club.
McCracken finished his opening round on Monday morning with a four-under par score of 68, while shooting one-over par 73 in second round action for his 141 total and fifth-place finish after two days.
Tournament play was suspended twice on Sunday, once for inclement weather and the final time for darkness. Therefore, team's finished out the first round on Monday morning before the second round got underway.
The nation's second-ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys lead the field with a 36-hole total of 563, followed by No. 6 UCF at 566, No. 13 UAB at 570, North Texas (577) and GRU Augusta (582) rounding out the top five teams.
Tulsa junior Matt Mabrey carded a second round four-under par 68 after an opening round of 76 and sits in 18th place with a score of 144. Junior Cody Kent shot rounds of 77 and 74 for a 50th-place total of 151, followed by Colton Staggs' 152 total for 57th place. Staggs shot rounds of 77 and 75.
Senior Mark Mumford turned in a one-over par round of 73 after shooting a dismal 84 in first round action. He sits in 75th place with a 157 total score.
The tournament will conclude on Tuesday with the final 18 holes.
