Tulsa Sits in 11th Place at John Hayt Invitational

Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. - The University of Tulsa men's golf team sits in 11th place after two rounds at the John Hayt Collegiate Invitational at the Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. The Golden Hurricane shot a 290 yesterday and posted a 308 in the second round today for a 22-over par 598.
Eleventh-ranked Auburn leads the team race with a one-over par 577, while #9 LSU, #17 Arkansas and Tennessee are tied for second with 584 scores, and UCF and TCU are tied for fifth place with 586 totals.
TU sophomore Chris Worrell has posted even-par 72 scores in both the first and second rounds for 11th place with a 144 total, while junior Arie Fauzi sits six strokes back in 36th place. Johannes Veerman is 45th with a 151 total, while Stephen Carney and John Young Kim are tied with 156 scores in 68th place.
Florida's Phillip Choi, Arkansas' Sebastian Cappelen and Auburn's Blayne Barber are all tied for first place with five-under par 139 totals.
The John Hayt Collegiate Invitational will conclude tomorrow with the third round.
