Tulsa Men's Golf Team in 12th Place at the Morris Williams IntercollegiateMarch 30, 2009
Austin, Texas - The Tulsa men's golf team finished is in 12th place after two rounds at the Morris Williams Intercollegiate on Monday. The Hurricane carded rounds of 313 and 296 for a 609 total at the par-71 University of Texas Golf Club Course. Oklahoma State sits in first-place with a 15-stroke lead over second-place Southern California. OSU turned in a 36-hole total of 569, while USC shot a two round total of 584. Rounding out the top-5 is Arkansas (590), Texas (595) and Pepperdine and TCU (596) are tied for fifth place. For Tulsa, freshman Arie Fauzi and senior Nicolas Geyger are tied for 35th place as the tandem each carded a score of 151. Fauzi turned in rounds of 76-75, while Geyger had a 79 in the first round, but turned around with an even-par 72 in second round action. Senior Ryan Brooks had a 153 total for 47th place, Rob Laird is in 51st place with a score of 154 and Andre Tourinho with a total of 162 sits in 88th place after the first day of competition.
