Texarkana, Arkansas - The Tulsa men's golf team moved up two spots into seventh place after second round action at the 2013 Conference USA Men's Golf Championship on Monday. Tulsa turned in a score of 291, six shots better than its first round total of 297, at the par 72, 6,935-yard Texarkana Country Club.

Tulsa junior Mark Mumford continues to lead the Hurricane golfers and is in 14th place after today's score of 75 for a 145 total, while sophomore Matt Mabrey shot his second straight one-over par 73 for a two-over par total of 146 for 19th place.

Junior Logan McCracken is in 40th place with a six-over par score of 150 after today's round of 77. Senior Chris Worrell turned in Tulsa's best round of the day and the second-best score of the day among the 60 golfers with a four-under par 68. Worrell, however, moved up just 16 spots into 44th place after his Sunday round of 11-over par 83.

Today, Worrell, who teed off on the par-4 10th hole, turned in two eagles, coming on the par-5 seventh hole and the par-5 16th hole. He also had birdie putts on holes 5, 14 and 18. Worrell wasn't the only Hurricane golfer to card an eagle on Monday as Mabrey also eagled the par-5 seventh hole.

SMU's Bryson Dechambeau is in first-place with an eight-under par score of 136, while Houston's Roman Robledo turned in a seven-under par total of 65 and is one shot behind DeChambeau with a seven-under par 137.

Houston turned in a score of eight-under par 280 on Tuesday to tie SMU for the team lead going into Tuesday's final round. Both teams sit at 10-under par 566 for the first 36 holes, while UCF is 10 strokes behind in third place with a score of 576, followed by UAB (582) and Marshall(583) rounding out the top-5 teams.

Tulsa will tee-off on Tuesday morning from the 10th tee beginning at 8:50 am for the final 18 holes.
