Tulsa Golfers Finish in Seventh Place at NCAA Men's Regional

Fayetteville, Arkansas - The Tulsa men's golf team finished in seventh place with a score of 908 at the NCAA Fayetteville Regional. The Hurricane carded a round 313 in its final 18 holes on Saturday at the par-72 Blessings Golf Club
Illinois, Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma State and Kent State finished 1 thru 5 and have advanced to the NCAA finals by finishing in the top-five. The NCAA Championship Finals will be conducted May 28-June 2 at The Capital City Club Crabapple Course in Atlanta, Georgia.
Tulsa junior Mark Mumford was Tulsa's best finisher with a final seven-over par score of 223 to place 20th overall. Senior Chris Worrell completed his collegiate career with a 37th place performance after turning in a score of 79 today for a 228 total.
Sophomore Colton Staggs had a 44th place finish with an overall total of 231, while fellow sophomore Matt Mabrey was two strokes behind with a 233 score after turning in the best round of the day for the Hurricane with a four-over par 76. Junior Logan McCracken placed 55th overall with a score of 236 after today's round of 82.
Individually, SMU's Mario Clemens claimed medalist honors by one-stroke with a three-under par score of 213.
