Tulsa Men's Golf Team in 15th Place at First Fall Tournament

Kiawah Island, SC - The Tulsa men's golf team is in 15h place following the first round at the Cleveland Golf Kiawah Island Intercollegiate. The Hurricane carded a round of 313 at the par-72 Turtle Point Golf Course in the opening tournament of the fall season.
Sophomore Aaron Bell turned in the best opening round for the Hurricane with a one-over par 73, and sits in an 11th place tie. Senior Marc Zien had a round of 77 and is in 40th place, followed by senior Billy Lowry's 79. Two juniors, Chris Noel and Neil Trimm, both of whom had 73.0 stroke averages a year ago, had rounds in the 80s today.
For the tournament, Virginia Tech leads the field with a 292, followed by a two-way tie for second-place between Vanderbilt and host College of Charleston with 293, respectively. Rounding out the top-five teams are LSU and Florida State.
The 54-hole tournament will conclude on Tuesday with the final 18 holes.
