TULSA GOLFERS PLACE THIRD AT DAVID TOMS INTERCOLLEGIATE

Baton Rouge, La. - The Tulsa men's golf team finished in third place at the David Toms Intercollegiate on Sunday after beginning the day in fifth place. The Hurricane had the second-best round of the day with a score of 304 to finish the 54-hole tournament with a 911 total at the par-72 University Club. The Hurricane finished behind first-place LSU's 897 total and second place South Alabama (905) in the nine-team field. Tulsa's Matt Mabrey placed fifth in the individual race with an eight-over par 224 total after carding a final round 77. Chris Worrell and Logan McCracken tied for 13th place with 228 totals, as McCracken turned in the best round of the day for the Hurricane with a one-over par 73. Colton Stags finished in 17th place with a 231 total and Mark Mumford finished in 41st place with a 243 total.
