Kim Tied for Third at David Toms Intercollegiate

SHREVEPORT, La. - Tulsa sophomore John Young Kim is tied for third place with a 3-under par 141 after two rounds Monday at the David Toms Intercollegiate at the par-72, 7,048-yard Southern Trace Country Club. The Golden Hurricane sits in fourth place heading into the final round Tuesday. TU posted a team-total 582 in two rounds on Monday. Kim carded a 1-under par 71 in the first round and a 2-under par 70 in the second round. Tulsa totaled 287 in round one and 295 in round two. Junior Chris Worrell is tied for 14th after shooting a 146, including 70 in the first round 76 in the second round. Seniors Andre' Tourinho and Arie Fauzi each posted a 150 on the first day. Tourinho shot a 74 and 76, while Fauzi carded a 72 and 78 in the first two rounds, respectively. Senior Stephen Carney shot 78 and 73 to total 151 Monday. Oklahoma holds the team lead after two rounds with a 7-under par 569. Kim is three strokes behind the Sooners' Michael Schoolcraft, who is at the top of the individual leaderboard after shooting a 6-under 138 Monday.
