Tulsa Men Golfers in Seventh Place at Royal Oaks Intercollegiate

Dallas, Texas - The Tulsa men's golf team is in seventh place after two rounds at the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate in Dallas, Texas. TU had an impressive five-under par in the first round and led the pack by two strokes, but was eight-over in the second half of the day for a three-over par 571 total. The Golden Hurricane will conclude play in the Intercollegiate tomorrow in the third and final round.Texas Tech leads the team race with an 11-under par 557 total and has a two-stroke advantage over 16th-ranked Oklahoma State (559). Iowa has a two-round 560 total, while 34th-ranked Texas A&M and ninth-ranked SMU are tied for fourth place with 564 scores. SMU's Maxine Blandin carded a 70 in the first round and a 63 in the second for a 133 total and a two-stroke lead. Oklahoma State's Ian Davis and Kevin Dougherty, and Iowa's Ian Vandersee are tied for second place with 135 scores, while Finley Ewing IV is one stroke back in fifth place. The Golden Hurricane's Logan McCracken and Chris Worrell carded identical 141 scores to tie for 13th place. Matt Mabrey is in 31st place with a 144 total, while Colton Staggs is three strokes back in 57th place and Mark Mumford is 77th with a 153 score. Team Results 1.
