The Tulsa men's golf team concluded the fall campaign with an eighth-place finish at the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate in Dallas, Texas. TU turned in a 283 today in the third round and combined with yesterday's two-round 571 total posted a two-over par 854.
Junior Logan McCracken carded a 69 in today's third round to capture a 10th-place finish with a 210 total. Senior Chris Worrell was three strokes back in 21st place, while Matt Mabrey had a 215 score for 29th place. Colton Staggs and Mark Mumford finished in 44th and 76th place, respectively, with three-round totals of 218 and 226.
Sixteenth-ranked Oklahoma State won the team title with a 10-under par 842, after carding rounds of 281, 278 and 283. Texas Tech and fourth-ranked New Mexico were four strokes back in second place with 846 scores to round out the top three.
Individually, OSU's 74th-ranked Ian Davis and Iowa's Ian Vandersee recorded identical 206 totals to finish in a tie for first place, while Texas Tech's Finley Ewing IV was third with a 207 score.
Tulsa will return to action on February 11th and 12th at the UTSA Oak Hills Invitational in San Antonio, Texas.
