Tulsa Men's Golf Team Places Sixth at Landfall Tradition

Senior Chris Noel has third-place finish for his best fall performance

Wilmington, North Carolina - The Tulsa golf team finished in sixth-place in a field of 12 teams at the Landfall Tradition on Sunday. The Hurricane carded a final round 290 to finish with an 873 total at the par 72, 6,973-yard Country Club of Landfall course.

Minnesota captured the team title with an 851 total, followed by Ohio State (866), Tennessee (281), UNC-Wilmington (869) and Penn State (871) to round out the top-five team finishers.

Individually, Tulsa senior Chris Noel placed third overall with a five-under par 211 total. He carded a 76 on Sunday following Saturday's course record score of seven-under par 65. Noel finished just two strokes behind individual medalist Justin Smith of Minnesota, who tied Noel's course record with a 65 today.

Fellow senior David Inglis had an even-par 72 today and finished in a 12th place tie with an even-par 216 score. Freshman Sam Korbe had the days best round for the Hurricane with a 71, and finished in 25th place with a 221 score. Fellow freshmen Ryan Henry and Mitch Cohlmia had rounds of 73 and 74, respectively. Henry placed 47th, while Cohlmia finished in 52nd place.

The tournament closed out the fall schedule for the Hurricane men.
