San Antonio, Texas - The Tulsa men's golf team starts the spring season at the UTSA Oak Hills Invitational this week, Monday-Tuesday. Tulsa opens the 54-hole, two-day tournament on Monday with 36 holes at the Oak Hills Country Club. All the teams will tee-off at 8:00 a.m. for the first 18 holes, and 1:00 p.m. for the second 18 holes on Monday.

Senior Logan McCracken and junior Matt Mabrey lead the Golden Hurricane into action. The duo finished the fall season one-two in team stroke average with 72.4 and 73.2 averages, respectively. McCracken finished the fall campaign in first-place at the Eagle/Osprey Intercollegiate. The duo is joined on the course this week by junior Colton Staggs, senior Mark Mumford and freshman Matthew Marquez.

As a team, the Hurricane ended the fall season in second place at the Eagle Osprey Invitational.

Tulsa placed sixth at the UTSA Oak Hills Invitational last year, as Mabrey led Tulsa at the event with a fifth-place performance.

Tulsa's spring opener is the first of five regular season spring tournaments for the Hurricane before the Conference USA Championship, NCAA Regional and NCAA Championship.
